Overall Point Winner Championships 2008

The Overall Point Winner Chamiponship 2008 was announced to find the best player on the US and the EU map. All 46 players who registered for the SPWC 2008 and the EMC 2008 were automatically qualified, but reaching the round of last 16 in both tournaments was a must to be eligible for the overall title. Only 5 players managed to advance to the round of last 16 in both championsships.
By reaching the quarterfinal in the SPWC and 2nd place in the EMC Neven Subotic became the first Overall Championship Winner.

The points for reaching certain rounds are listed below. Points are not cumulated for each round (see discussion).

This distribution leads to 40 points, if a player win both tournaments, to 30 points if he loses one final (17) and loses a semifinal (13) etc ...
