This page tries to summarize the current wishes. Feel free to add to it, or dispute it. You may use the discussion page to comment. At the moment the most asked for and urgent improvements are: Please, DoW, make it come true! |

[edit] start order
- MOST WANTED start button: Add a new button "Other player starts the game" with default off (important for tournament games). In multi games might be "Next player" and can be hit more than once. Make this available only for the game host ! see discussion in the forum where DoW says (Nov 08) they are working on that

- player stats in game: Allow the creating or all players in a game to see the stats of the joining player(s). At least overall rating/ranking and guest/player status. (Use a Pop-Up if you hover over the name.)
- ignore player: Don't allow a player on the ignore list of the game host to join his game. see below
- kick: Allow the creating player to ban players from joining/kick them out before the game starts (for a short period of time at least). see discussion

- know who starts: Show all players the starting player during the ticket choosing phase. The CD version does and it might be an advantage to know!
- fast rejoin: Allow a quicker rejoin after connection loss (probably before the timeout is over).
- number of cards: Show how many cards you have on the hand (8+ for the opponent is okay, but not for yourself).
- completed ticks: Show the completed ticks (gray them out or mark them green).

- sortable lists: Make all lists (players in lobby, buddylist, gameslist) SORTABLE (at least by name).
- lobby whisper: A better whisper function in the lobby. E.g. by adding a whisper button to player's stat window. And make it obvious, that you really did whisper.
- observe buddy: Jump from buddylist into observation of their current game (if available). Via doubleclick on the name or a new observe button besides the name. see Brice's post (Feb 08) announcing this for the next version
- players profile: Link a players profile webpage to his name in the lobby list or player information in the applet.
- improved chat: Enable larger chat window and cache. E.g. by adding ability to create popup chat window, keeping the last 50 or so chats lines.
[edit] OBSERVATION
- who is observing: Show who is observing which game. Suggestion: Add command in chat window to list who is observing which games. (May be in disaccord with some privacy feelings.) Another suggestion: Show the players in a game who is observing them. (Would give a thrilling feeling to know who all is observing, e.g. your competition match.) Also see the forum thread from mid 2008 "Observing & Cheaters".

- MOST WANTED current games displayed: Increase the number of games available in the observation list ! see discussion in the forum started 18-Jan-09 and see Brice says (Feb 08) they try to increase the number
- current closed games: Dont show or better list at the end the games that are closed.
- current games sort: Make the games sortable (e.g. by name, map) or sort them by name as default.

- observe board only: Add a new observation mode that allows seeing only the board and let the creating player choose "observation full", "observation board" or "closed" or change the closed observation mode to seeing the board only.
- observe switch: Change the observation to seeing ALL players (with a switch button). Makes observing more interesting. Makes observing TAG matches interesting.
- observe creator: Change the observation that always the player creating the game is watched.

- guests game limitation: Don't allow guests to join games that were setup with 5 karma stars or limit guests to 4 karma.
- MOST WANTED guests chat limitation: Don't allow guests to chat in the lobby. Make a difference between "guests" (no chat, no opening games) and "ex-players" (no opening games, chat allowed) see discussion in the forum where DoW says (Dec 08) they are working on that
- MUCH WANTED guests observing limitation: Don't allow guests to WATCH any games! Guests are an easy way to cheat. At least if you want to cheat watching other players game, you have to pay for it! (May be in contradiction with the marketing idea. As a compromise allow guests to observe board only.)
- guest points: Give players the opportunity to see the points of guests, they can see them anyway by joining a multiplayer game.

- ignore list: Make the list of ignored players available in the applet.
- ignore list add: Allow to add from the lobby to ignored list.
- ignore in lobby: Don't show any lobby messages of ignored players. same goal as guest chat limitation, according to Yann's post (Nov 08) DoW is looking at that
- ignore player: Don't allow a player on the ignore list of the game host to join his game. again see Yann's post
- ignore show: Show all players in a game if an ignored player enters the game.

- history including starter: Add the playing order of the game (or at least who started the game).
- history including longest: Add who got longest.
[edit] PC/CD GAME
- PC speed: Make the PC game faster!
- PC avatar: Allow to set avatars (the online avatar) in your pc gui.
- PC via java: Allow to create the bonus maps through the java applet if you entered a pc game webnumber!
[edit] Probably unimportant or disputed or obsolete proposals
- elo: Add a filter for ELO rating e.g. +/- 200 points (i doubt this is still really on the wishlist and with all the different rankings it makes no longer sense).
- bots: Make them clever! see discussion
- maps: Filter the games in the lobby regarding to the map (too many maps nowadays).
- bell: Silence the bell in the lobby. While this can be done by one click, Brice told (Dec 08) that it will be gone in the next update.
